Lincoln Country Club first opened for play in 1948 with 9 holes.The original nine are now the back nine. The front nine opened for play in 1993. The front nine was designed by Peter Tufts.
The front nine features tree-lined fairways that demand accurate tee shots, and small greens that reward precision. The back nine is more open, but being in the right places on the greens is still important. Ponds and creeks come into play on several holes while well-placed sand bunkers are incorporated into the course's traditional design. Four sets of tees will test players of every ability.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,467 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,011 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 567 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 166 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 432-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 4, a 458 yard par-5.
Holes 17 & 18 bring water into play making for a challenging finish.
